The club has a 1st and 2nd XI in the South Yorkshire Cricket League
The Sunday XI is in the Barnsley & District Cricket League
The Midweek XI is in the Rotherham Midweek League
There are 5 junior teams U9 (Kwik cricket) U11, U13, U15, U17.
The junior teams all have practice nights and a league programme. All teams have a qualified ECB coach.
The club is entering exciting times. The square has been re-laid and there are plans to renew the pavilion and turn it into a 1st class Club House and asset to the local community.
The main sponsors are Oxley and Coward Solicitors, JL Electrics, Yorkshire Windows and Rotherham Seamless Gutters and Roofing Contractors.
Whiston were able to engage a professional, South African - Johan Bothma, during 2008. He had a successful season and it is hoped to have him back next season.
