Whiston Families

Frances Turner was the youngest daughter of Thomas and Sarah(Nee Barber) of Barnsley.

She was born in Barnsley in 1740. Records show that in 1755, she had a daughter Rebecca who was born in Whiston.

In 1773 Rebecca married in Whiston to Samuel Johnson. Samuel was born in 1756 at Worksop.

They had two daughters both born in Whiston:

Frances born in 1776
Letitia born in 1780 married 1803 in Braithwell to Richard Lockwood (1776-1855) died in RUW in 1843
