In 1879 Elizabeth Hudson was a shopkeeper in Whiston. The 1891 census shows Elizabeth has a grocer's shop at 26 Main Street. She is still trading in 1901. By 1911 Elizabeth is living at 64 Effingham Street, Rotherham with her son Arthur Foers, his boys, Roland and Arthur and Fanny Scales her daughter.
