Walter Paul Kingston a coal miner aged 40 born Hull Yorkshire, his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Nee Dixon), age 33, born Highthorne, Kilnhurst. Children, born Whiston:

• Mabel Mary age 10
• Walter age 8
• Hilda age 6
• Frederick age 4. Fred can be seen on a photograph taken at Whiston Hall Farm »
• Jessie age 2 months
• George - pictured on a school photograph »

Also living with the family was Ben Dixon age 36, a coal miner born Highthorne, Kilnhurst, known locally as 'Cobbler Ben'. Cobbler Ben had a large wooden shed, on Hunger Hill Lane which he used as a work shop. Him and a Mr. Johnson were great horse race backers and used to spend hours over a pint picking out winners !
