Kitson Family
Charles Kitson was born in Whiston in 1811. He married Charlotte (c 1811) from Whiston. Their children were all christened in Whiston:
- Frances (c 1830)
- William (c 1832)
- Jane (c 1834)
- Thomas (c 1836)
- Ann (b 1839) at Guilthwaite married John Mosley Aug 1860 at Ulley
- Joseph(c 1841)
In 1881, Thomas (c 1836) was living in Treeton with his wife Martha from Rawmarsh. He was a Blacksmith. In 1891 they were living at 93 Wood Lane Treeton as boarders at the home of George Farmer.
According to IGI, William Kitson (c 1832) married Mary, they had a daughter Betsey, christened 15/08/1852 at Whiston.
Ann Kitson (b 1839) married John Mosley(b 1839 Ulley), in 1860. He was a Horsekeeper at pit.
In 1881 John and Ann (Nee Kitson) Mosley were living at Orgreave with their 7 children:

- Joseph Mosley, born 1865 at Royds Moor, Whiston
- Herbert Mosley, born 1870 at Treeton

Ann Mosley was buried in March 1910, and John was buried in July,1915, both at St Helens Treeton, Rotherham.
