Laughton of Haworth Hall
Charles Laughton of Ecclesfield built Haworth Grange, as it was then known, in 1625. He had married Anne Goodwin 20 October 1614 at Rotherham. Anne was the daughter of Humphrey Goodwin, of Rawmarsh.
Charles Laughton, was buried 26th August 1638, and Anna, his wife was buried on 22nd August 1650.
Charles and Anna had a son Charles who died 12th September 1686. He married married Rosamund, daughter of Anthony Hatfeild and Faith Westby, Rosamund died 1st October 1663. Children:
- John m. Dorcas Westby
- Joseph, 4th son of Charles Laughton of Haworth, died 13 July 1672.
- Ruth, only daughter of Charles Laughton, of Haworth Grange, was buried 7 August 1675.
- Jonathan
John Laughton, of Haworth married 20 April 1685 Dorcas Westby, he died 3 September 1687, aged 34. John, his only child, died 20 January 1687, aged 1 year.
Joshua Laughton married Anne Smith 4 November 1688 at Rotherham. Charles, the eldest son of Joshua Laughton and Anne died 21st April 1718, aged 26 years.
Edward Lawton of Canklow Wood Farm died in 1856<
