In 1770 Benjamin Street(b. 1747) m. to Elizabeth OXLEY

Francis Oxley, butcher, deceased by 1775, was married to Elizabeth. He had a shop in the Shambles in Rotherham. Their son John Oxley also a butcher, inherited the shop, which was one of 20 butchers shops in the Shambles, sold in 1828 to Joshua and Jonathan Walker, who formed the Company of Proprietors of Rotherham Market.

In 1823, John Oxley of Rotherham, gent.married Mary Oxley of Moorgate, Whiston, spinster.

Jane Oxley (da. and coheiress of John Oxley jnr. decd) married Thomas Turner of Eastwood on 25 June 1833 at Whiston. This Jane had a brother John Oxley married to Mary.

In 1833 John Oxley, solicitor, lived on a farm at Moorgate. This John was practicing at Bridgegate in 1822

Anne, eldest daughter of John Oxley of Moorgate, (deceased) married at Whiston Parish Church on 14th September, 1820, to William Henry King, solicitor of Holborn.

John OXLEY b. 1824 at Rotherham, Solicitor Clerk To Justices, was living at Broom House, Broom Lane, in 1871. Ann Street (71) is a servant living in Broom House as a monthly nurse, there are 3 more servants.
