2. Effie Roddis, born 12/03/1881 married at Rotherham on 02/09/19?6 to George Arthur Holmes, born 29/01/1880, son of George and Emma Holmes. Both born in Whiston. They had a daughter Doris Holmes born17/08/1920 at Whiston. Effie died 16/10/1952 at Leeds. George died 11/05/1941 at Rotherham.

Doris Holmes married first to Horace Cutts and after her divorce in 1946, she married Ronald Roberts. Doris and Ronald had one son.

3. Laura Roddis married Jim Talbot. They had a daughter Alice Talbot who married Paddy?

4. Arthur Roddis married Nellie Elizabeth Warner in Rotherham in 1914. They had a son Edward Roddis born in 1916.

Arthur died 18th May 1937 aged 52. Nellie Elizabeth died 6th July 1972 aged 82.

They are both buried at Whiston.

Nellie E Warner was daughter of Jos and Sarah Warner of Moore Staffordshire

Wedding Day, Vera Genner

Edward Roddis (1916-1981) married Vera Genner (1922-2003) on 14/03/1946 at Whiston Parish Church. A reception was held at Davy's Cafe, Rotherham

They lived on Savile Road, Whiston. Vera, born 1922, daughter of James W. Genner (b1891) and Ann E. Cornwell born 1893 in Kimberworth Rotherham.

Edward and Vera Roddis had one daughter - (living)

5. Edwin Roddis was born 13/03/1889 in Whiston. He married Fanny Rutherford, born 1879, on 15/04/1925 at Whiston. Edwin died 13/12/1973 at Redditch

6. Gladys Roddis was the first wife of John Thomas Thompson of Catcliffe. Children of John Thomas Thompson and Gladys :

Harold Roddis, born 1925 who married Florence (Sally) Oxtoby. They had 2 sons.
Brenda, born 5?05/1933 who married at Thrybergh to Henry Mullins. They had 2 daughters
Keith Roddis married Christine. They had one son and 2 daughters.

8. Beatrice Ivy Roddis married Harold Gibson.

Harold and Ivy Gibson had a daughter Muriel. Muriel Gibson married first to George Stanley, they had one son. She later married Fred Allison. Muriel died at Treeton 21/09/1975
