Josias (c1746) Street married Elizabeth (c1746) Auty at Whiston 26 DEC 1759. Children:

Joseph Street(c1772) married Elizabeth Else (c 1774)daughter of Joseph Else of Treeton, in Treeton on 20/05/1796. Joseph was working as a Smith and Farrier in Brampton-en-le-Morthen in 1833 to at least 1862, where he is listed in White's directories. Children:

  • Ann ? 11./09/1796 (only father Joseph mentioned)
  • John Christened Treeton 4/11/1798. Married in 1828 at Whiston to Esther Banks(b.1804 Whiston, dau. George/Eliz.).
  • William born Brampton, Christened 30/10/1800 Treeton. A Blacksmith, living in Wickersley from at least 1825 when his son Joseph was born. Further details on the Wickersley website.
  • Sarah Christened Treeton 27/02/1803
  • Joseph Christened Treeton 21/07/1805 married Ann (b1828) from Killamarsh.
  • Samuel christened 9/08/1807 Brampton-en-le-Morthen. Married in Whiston 06/11/1826 to Hannah Bartholomew, Daughter of George (1774) and Mary(1773) Bartholomew.
  • George, born 1809, Brampton-en-le-Morthen married on 08/08/1830 to Mary Wells (b.1798 Wellow, Notts)

  • Tom HILL, Lodger, born 1862 in Rotherham, unmarried, age 19. Blacksmith (Apprentice)

In 1871 a nephew Frederick Athey was living with William and family, an apprentice blacksmith, born Ravenfield.

Although the children were born in Wickersley and George was recorded as farming in Wickersley in 1833, by the 1851 census, George no longer living, and his family were living in Laughton-en-le-Morthen, all except John.
