In 1871 John Dobb Styring was farming 280 acres of land at Manor Farm, Moorhouse. He employed 4 men and 1 boy.
Born in Rotherham he was married to Matilda, youngest daughter of the late William Hoyland of Oakerthorpe, Derbyshire, on 2nd December, 1851, at Wickersley. See Wickersley Website
