Thomas Pagdin Swann(d.1861) of Whiston, gent. was son of Elizabeth Swann, and brother of Sarah Elizabeth Moss.Daughter Mary Ann married William Garland of Leeds, chemist and druggist.
Daughter Emily married Francis Bartholemew at Whiston in July 1864
Extract from Malton Messenger Published 9 July 1864:
Married at Whiston, on the 7th inst., by the Hon. and Rev. Wm. HOWARD, Francis, youngest son of Wm. BARTHOLOMEW, Esq., of Waddington-heath, in the county of Lincoln, to Emily, youngest daughter of the late Thos. SWANN, Esq., of Morthen Hall in this county.
Emily was beneficiary in the will of his grandfather, Edward Pagdin of Rotherham, builder (d.1844)

Reciting the will of Edward Pagdin of Rotherham, builder (d.1844) devising all his real estate to Thomas Swann,
William Pagdin and William Dyson, charged with annuities to his sister Mary Prior and to Rebecca Garside, upon trust to pay
his son Edward Pagdin
£3 weekly for life from his personal estate with the residue to his daughter Elizabeth Swann, with remainder to her
children.
whereas Elizabeth Swann left 4 children, viz. 2, 3b, 4b and 1.
in consideration of £1525 paid to 1, 2, 3 and 4 by Jarvis Harris
of a parcel of land (3750) sq. yds. with 25 messuages thereon, and stables, nail shops, etc., bounded east by Westgate
and Sheffield Rd. and south by Messrs. Harris's foundry.
Note:Wm. Bartholomew, Esq., of Waddington Heath, near Lincoln, was agent to the Right Hon. the Earl de Grey and Ripon. His eldest daughter Miss Hellen Bartholomew married Mr W. Morton of Ripon, a wine merchant on 15 July 1863 Waddington Parish Church, Waddington, Lincoln.
