In 1881 George Henry (Yardley) Yeardley was living with his uncle, Reuben Hall, and his wife, Ann at Parkins Houses, Ecclesfield. His sister Emma, then aged 9 was also living with the Hall's.

By 1891 he was married and living at Mona Cottages, The Pieces, Whiston, he was aged 27, and a Coal Miner, His wife, Emily (Nee Wainwright), aged 29 was born in Walton Derbyshire. George and Emily had seven children, five girls and two boys:

George (b.1899) married Daisy Kennen, daughter of Harry Kennen of Thurcroft
