Rev. Thomas Atkinson
Living at The Rectory in 1891 was the Rector Of Whiston,Thomas Atkinson , head of the family, aged 50 , an employer, born in Gateshead Fell, County Durham. His wife - Anna M. Atkinson, aged 46, was born in Worcester. They had three daughters:
- Helen M Atkinson, single, aged 19, a scholar,born in Worcester
- Mildred F Atkinson, single, aged 15, a scholar,born in Worcester
- Jane M Atkinson, single, aged 9, a scholar,born in Whiston , and a son
- Herwald T Atkinson, aged 5, a scholar,born in Whiston
Also living with the family at the time of the census were:

Lieutenant George Bryan Atkinson, 3rd Northumberland Fuseliers, the younger son of Rev and Mrs. Atkinson married Mary Penelope, only daughter of Admiral and Mrs. Noel of 33 Redcliffe Square, London, in about 1916.
Rev. Atkinson's great grandaughter, Linda who lives in Canada, informs me that Rev. Atkinson died in 1896 while still in the position of Rector
